Things aren’t as bad today as they were yesterday.

Yesterday Acid rain swept the area (One of the many bad things about being in the Floridas), I sheltered it out under one of the ruined I-4 overpasses near what’s left of Disney. I don’t go any where near there any more if I can help it. The place is still to clean, it looks like nothing happened there, like the world didn’t fall apart on our heads. I’ve heard rumors of people, in tattered uniforms, still cleaning and maintaining the place. Like zombies, they shuffle about, waiting for the park to open. Creepy buggers.

I’m still tying to make it out to the main Orlando area. I have heard that there’s a market in what used to be the stadium, I really need to pick up some new knives, and maybe a new tarp, this one’s got too many holes.

I hope I can find someone with a boat once I reach the shore, or at least a boat I can steal if necessary. The earthquake last month destroyed the last bridge that ran all the way there. Travel has become so much more difficult now that the state has become an arpeggio.

Right now I’m in what I think used to be the big mall out here, the Mall of Millenia? or is it the Florida mall? I don’t remember which. Either way, I’m in an old Radio Shack and it’s been pretty well picked over by scavengers. I was in the back looking for the first aide kit and maybe some batteries when I found the old inventory computer was still whole. The bigger miracle was that there was still power in this place. Turkey Point Nuclear must still be running after all these years, you think the would have shut it down after what happen at Crystal River 3.

So right now I’m charging my mini-laptop and media player, I’ve been going nuts without music, it’s so quiet out here, only the drone of the cicadas. Well here’s hoping I don’t run into any reavers tomorrow, and can make it safely to the market. I’ll keep updating every time I can.
